Haterz! I mean, I say every song is one of my favorite songs on the album,
"Haterz"입니다! 그러니까, 전 제 앨범의 모든 노래들을 다 좋아한다고 말할 수 있어요.
but, like, "Haterz" is one of my favorite songs only because the message is so huge.
하지만 "Haterz" 는 그 중에서도 가장 좋아하는 노래예요. 가사에 담긴 메시지가 아주 크거든요.
Two of the most successful songs I've recorded are "Freaks Like Me," which I did with the cast of "Dance Moms," and "It Gets Better."

And both of those songs have the same, like, basic underlying tone;
두 노래는 모두, 그러니까, 같은 메시지를 전하고 있어요.
they're anthems for people who are underdogs or people who feel different or misunderstood
두 곡 다 사회적 약자들이나 다른 사람들과 달라서 이해받지 못하는 사람들을 위해 만든 응원가거든요.
and I feel like "Haterz" is the third part of this, like, trilogy that I've created on my YouTube channel.
그리고 "Haterz" 는 이 두 곡들의 3번째 파트고요. 제가 제 유투브 채널에 만들어낸 3부작 트릴로지인 거죠.
And I'm so excited to share it with everyone because when I'm on tour and I get to meet kids or if I'm just at Disneyland walking around,
전 이 노래를 사람들과 나눌 수 있어서 정말 기뻐요. 왜냐면 제가 투어를 나가거나 디즈니랜드에 산책나갔을때
I get to meet so many kids who come to me and say that these songs changed their lives—or sometimes saved their lives—
수많은 아이들이 제게 와서 그 노래들이 자신의 삶을 바꿔놓았다고, 그리고 가끔씩은 목숨을 구해주었다고 말해주거든요.
and I just think it's so special to be able to do that through music.
전 음악을 통해 그런 일을 할 수 있다는 게 정말 특별하게 느껴졌어요.
But while the other songs were more, like, building confidence, this is like "I'm 100% happy with who I am and if you don't like it
하지만 다른 노래들은 뭐랄까, 신뢰를 쌓는 노래였죠. 이를테면 "난 내 자신으로 있는게 100% 좋고 네가 그걸 싫어하거나
and if you're not progressive enough to understand it, then you're a hater and I don't have time for you."
그걸 이해할 수 있을 정도로 이해심이 없다면 넌 내 안티고 난 너한테 쓸 시간이 없어" 라는 메시지를 전달하는 면에 더 가까웠거든요.
Cause sometimes after you've said it gets better and after you've accepted that you're a freak,
뭐 가끔씩은 점점 더 나아질거라고 스스로를 위로하거나 내가 괴짜라는 걸 인정한 후에,
it's time to just say "screw all the haters. I don't care; I'm gonna live my life and be who I am."
"안티팬들 ㅈ까라 그래. 신경 안 써. 난 나 자신 그대로 내 삶을 살거야." 라고 말해야 할 때도 있으니까요.
So that's how I felt on the that day I wrote this.
이게 제가 이 곡을 쓰던 날에 느꼈던 감정입니다.

It just makes me excited. It makes me, like—it gives me energy; I wanna get up and dance when I hear this song.
이 노래는 절 흥분하게 했어요. 마치 이 노래가 에너지를 주는 것 같았달까요. 이 노래를 들었을 때 일어나서 막 춤추고 싶은 생각이 간절했어요.
And I just hope that everyone likes it and appreciates it, it makes them wanna dance as well, but also that the message is not lost in the craziness of the video.
전 모두가 이 노래를 좋아하고 진가를 알아주길 바래요. 사람들을 춤추고 싶게 하는 동시에 가사에 담긴 메시지도 뮤직비디오의 분위기에 묻히지 않기를 바라고요.
And I hope that people realize, like, what a powerful message this is and how important it is for you to feel comfortable in your own skin—to really love and embrace who you are—

and also to learn how to just shake those haters off when you get them because the more you're winning in the world and the more you're coming up, the more haters you're gonna have.
